About Locations & Outages
Locations:
- Each ESB outage locations have a:
- Uniquely identified by coordinates (latitude/longitude).
- Area name.
- Planner Group name that's usually a large town or city, where the responsible ESB team are located.
- We only display Area name.
- There may be several different outages in an area, Total Hours of outages can be due to overlapping outages in an area.
Outage reporting:
- An outage only appears when it affects more than 10 customers.
- There are two different outage types: Planned & Fault.
- Restored faults often disappear from the ESB site without being updated; we record the time of the outage ending as being the last time we saw it.
